CONNIE HWANG BIOGRAPHY
For the past 30 years of doing art business, Her central focus of work is to give warmth and comfortable feel with an atmospheric color field. Inducing new visual dialogs of abstraction. Texture, Color, Line work and Depth are her tools of expression.
Her main goal is to find a new and unique images. " This, It seems, is getting difficult to do as if i have to dig quite deep to find one "
" My paintings are reflections of life each filled with layers of color texture. The layers for life are what intrigue me.
How thoughts and actions from our being and shape who we are. What seems at first glance to me is abstract, when viewed again, many layers telling a story.
By looking at the natural world one can get a feeling for how things appear, whether it be how bird acts, how an animal moves or how a plant grows, how water sparkles under the light.
The second step is the most difficult, getting what i observe in nature and making a painting out of it; The copy of the reality. I don't want it to look too perfect, Everything in places but i endeavor to capture the feelings as i see it.
My imaginations ends unpredictable. " The technique i use is dry brushing, layers of texture and colors, Many layers of paint that finally creates unexpected deep textures and mystic beautiful colors. Creating a new world of life "
